Coaching & Volunteers

Requirements

Primary Requirements:

Submit the Pop Warner Volunteer Application to our Football Director. Social Security # is required if this is your first year, returning volunteers the Social Security # is not required. ALL VOLUNTEER FORMS ARE PROPERLY DESTROYED after the background check is completed.
A copy of your drivers license is required.

Additional Requirements:

All Coaches and the Team Mom or Team Dad are required to complete the USA Football Training and Certification.

The specific training is LEVEL 1 TACKLE // FOR COACHES NOT CERTIFIED in the previous year or LEVEL 2 TACKLE // FOR TACKLE COACHES CERTIFIED in the previous year.
This includes coaching methodology, being a transformation coach, how to teach fundamentals, abuse prevention, concussions, heat safety and other areas focusing on the safety of athletes.
There is minimal cost to this and there are options for becoming a member of USA Football which provides additional benefits.
Ideally all coaches are CPR certified and first aid certified. At least 1-2 coaches on each team must be.
There also may be in person training requirements from our Association, League and Pop Warner National.

Coaches:

Head Coaches are currently needed at various levels.
All teams need Assistant Coaches.
Coaching Positions known as Coaches in Training for young men ages 16-17 are also available.
Team Parents for each team to help the Coaches with various team administrative duties are also required. Team parents will receive specific training from the league on various requirements as well.

Football Program Positions:

Gameday Assistants are needed to help facilitate home game and other Association Football events.
A really big and important need is a Scholastic Coordinator is needed to facilitate the Pop Warner Scholastic All-American process for our association. Information on the Pop Warner Scholastic Program can be found by CLICKING HERE. This position would work with all teams to ensure eligible kids get their applications submitted.
A Concessions Coordinator is needed to manager our home game concessions options.
