    • Director of Basketball (Coach Rafi) and others will share drills, how to plan practices, and how to balance fun and development for your teams.
  • Development League (5/6 years old) do not require evaluations.
  • 14U Boys:  Evaluations will be scheduled on a date later in November to account for the timing of middle school basketball tryouts.

**ALL players who fail to attend the skills evaluation will be randomly assigned to a team (i.e. a "Random Hat Pick") during the age division  draft. NO EXCEPTIONS.**

We will conduct skills evaluations for all players using 5 or 6 skills assessment drills.  The drills are non-competitive and there is no pass / fail.  The coaches are working to assess and rate each player's fundamental basketball skills & capabilities (shooting, rebounding, ball handling, passing and athleticism).  We use the assessments during the draft process to help create a balanced & competitive landscape across each division in the league.  Ratings are never shared with players or parents.  The process is simply used to balance distribution of talent across the league so it's more competitive and fun for everyone.

There is no need for any player to bring basketballs into the gym so please leave them at home.  We will have enough balls and equipment for everyone.

Each player should be able to complete the assessment process in less than an hour.  No one is expected to stay the entire duration of the scheduled assessment.  After a player is finished and confirms his name and division with one of the coaches, they can leave.  There are multiple skills evaluation sessions, but a player ONLY needs to attend ONE session.

**ALL players who fail to attend the skills evaluation will be  randomly assigned to a team (a "Random Hat Pick") during the draft. NO EXCEPTIONS.**
